"A bright and beautiful day, with the glory of autumn’s hues glowing in vibrant colour.
I had been awaiting ‘the call’ from Heiki, who invited me to paint this magnificent view from his balcony. He had been keeping watch, and was to ring me when the stunning autumnal colours ‘peaked’.
This was the morning he rang. “Jane, you must come TODAY!
I was not disappointed. My heart soared. It was PERFECT. The rich colours, cart horses, our special swan family, with the cygnets now as big as their parents, cows, birds, barges, people enjoying the canal were all there - even a cat, but that’s ANOTHER story!
A heavenly painting spread out ready before my eyes. An artist’s dream.
